I began playing sax in junior high school and played in combos throughout my high school years. From the mid 60s I played with The Majors and Soul Masters. I kept my hand in musically while I was in the service sitting in with a few groups in San Francisco and San Diego . In the 70s I played in the Manchesters and Shades bands. In the early 80s I played with Fox and Co. and shortly thereafter went into self imposed retirement when I went into education. In the mid 90s I got the chance and began playing again with Backstreet.

I played alto sax my first year in Jr. high and then switched to tenor which I played until the mid 70s. At that time I switched back to alto and also began playing soprano sax. I currently play a Selmer Mark 6 alto and a Yamaha soprano. I would list my musical roots as jazz and R&B. I'm amazed to have played over four decades and still be doing it today. Right on.
